  1. Idris Elba forever... Have you seen LUTHER? THE WIRE? RockNRolla? Prometheus? He has AN ACCORDION IN PROMETHEUS AND IS STILL AWESOME!!!! He may even be a significant amount of the reason why I kind of liked Ghost Rider 2.

When I think of Butler there's 300....... and not much else. I guess he gets points for RockNRolla as well, but nothing else.

    1. I am a big fan of both Luther and The Wire so I am happy to see Elba finally becoming a household name. Having said that, I still have not brought myself to watch Ghost Rider 2...maybe one day.

  2. Butler is in so many bad films, so this one is easy. Idris Elba takes it almost by default. I like him but think he's also been in some bad movies. Of course, few can stack up with Butler's run of stinkers.

    1. Butler's career reminds me a lot of Matthew McConaughey's path. Up until 2011, McConughey got knocked for making a string of bad romantic comedies but became the toast of the online world again in 2012 thanks to Killer Joe, Bernie, and Magic Mike. I think Butler needs a few risk taking indie films to remind people that he is a solid actor.

  3. I'll go with Elba, too. Sure, he hasn't been featured as much as Butler, but he still manages to make an impact no matter the role.

And as good as 300 is, I feel like Butler is in a lot of shitty movies where he plays opposite Katherine Heigl. Like, more than once.

    1. I agree that Elba has made a significant impact in pretty much every film he has been in. I am excited to see what he does in Pacific Rim.

  4. Though I haven't seen much of his work.... I'm going with Idris Elba. Besides, Gerard Butler fucking sucks now w/ all of the movies he's been in lately.

    1. I will say that Butler was very good in Dear Frankie, a forgotten gem in my opinion.

  5. Elba, easily. Would still pick him even if he did nothing else but The Wire.

    1. I still think it is a shame The Wire never received the ratings it deserved. One of the best shows to ever hit the small screen.

oooh. My love for How to Train Your Dragon is overwhelming, so, based on these lists, I'm gonna choose Butler.

    They're both awesome in Rocknrolla.

    1. I am sad that I did not see How to Train Your Dragon in 3D; I came around to that film on after it hit DVD. As for RocknRolla, I had fun watching that film...even if Guy Ritchie was just ripping off his earlier films.

    2. I didn't see it in 3d either, unfortunately. Is there a big difference? Maybe ill have to ensure that i go see 2 and 3 in 3d then.
