  1. I can't deny that Ang Lee is a powerful director but I enjoyed the movies of David O Russell a lot more. Yes that includes I Heart Huckabees.

What? Ang Lee's Lust, Caution didn't make the list. You had the production photo of it

    1. I could only pick six sample films, which is why Lust, Caution did not make the list.

  2. Ang Lee, easily. More nuanced, more eclectic and more varied I think.

He's managed to eke out top notch performances from so many of his performers.

  3. I do like David O. Russell's films though the only one I haven't seen is Three Kings.

I'm going with Ang Lee since he's made a lot more films than Russell and some of them are among the best films out there. I just finished my Auteurs piece on him which will come out tomorrow.

    1. You really need to see Three Kings. It is actually my favourite film by Russell.

  4. Ang Lee. He's never made the same film twice and he's always looking to further the movie-watching experience with the newest technology.

I liked Silver Linings but I feel anyone could have made that film. Whilst the same can't be said for Life of Pi.

  5. Have to go with David O. Russell on this one. His movies just appeal to me way more.
