Oh, Deakins, definetly. They are both great, but Jesse James and The Village alone win here.
ReplyDeleteRoger Deakins... easily. There is never a bad shot from a Deakins film. The man is a one of the great cinematographers working today.
ReplyDeleteJanusz is a great DP himself as I loved what he did in The Diving Bell & the Butterfly but I just feel like Deakins does a lot more with his photography no matter what format he's shooting.
It's difficult to pit virtually any modern cinematographer against Deakins.
