  1. Sharon Stone. No question. But with all due respect, Kate Beckinsale is a low bar to set when it comes to acting.
It'd be a tougher competition if we were discussing who looks better in those ten films ;)

    1. If you remove the Underworld franchise, Beckinsale is actually a fairly good actress. I thought she nailed it in Cold Comfort Farm and Laurel Canyon.

  2. oh, Sharon Stone easily.

  3. Kate because I'm biased and love her and the Underworld series and Serendipity ;)

    1. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by Serendipity. I rather enjoyed that film.

  4. Definetly Sharon Stone. Her work in Casino is one of my all time favs.

    1. Though I did not like Casino overall, I loved Stone’s performance in it.

  5. I'm not a fan of either but Sharon Stone I think is still the better actress. Kate Beckinsale isn't bad in films like Cold Comfort Farm, The Last Days of Disco, and Snow Angels. Still, for all of the bad movies Sharon Stone has done. None of them was Pearl Harbor.

    1. I have yet to see Snow Angels but I agree with you on The Last Days of Disco and Cold Comfort Farm. As for Stone not doing a movie as bad as Pearl Harbor, I would point you to Basic Instinct 2 and The Specialist.

    2. Those were bad but neither Basic Instinct 2 nor The Specialist (which I kinda liked) can be compared to the travesty that was Pearl Harbor.

  6. Sharon Stone, based on Casino.

    1. She is outstanding in that film.

  7. Gotta be Kate. This isn't a role written to garner an Oscar, so it really comes down to who's the bigger badass.

Sharon Stone could take you down in a catfight, but Kate Beckinsale would jujitsu your ass.

    1. I would argue that Stone’s character in The Quick and the Dead would get the drop on Beckinsale’s jujitsu.

  8. Not a Beckinsale fan, although I see the comparison between the two - both are mutton dressed as lamb in unnecessary sequels to their hit films. Underworld: Awakening vs Basic Instinct 2? My eyes they burn!!!

    1. There is no denying that they have both been in some terrible films. I gave up on the Underworld franchise after sitting through Underworld Evolution…which was a painful experience.

  9. Posed the question on twitter recently whether Beckinsale had actually ever been in a good film, Much Ado accepted as the exception. I know many would point to The Aviator but I personally think its one of Scorsese's weakest and I think its starting to fail the test of time. Everything else on her list is easily open to accusations of awfulness. Stone for me.

    1. I am not a fan of The Aviator either, though I would argue that Laurel Canyon, Last Days of Disco, and Cold Comfort Farm are examples of good Beckinsale films.

  10. Sharon Stone solely because of Casino.

By the way, I tagged you for a Liebster Award. Details here:

  11. Stone has the best performance of the bunch in Casino.

But I'd choose Beckinsale. Laurel Canyon, Serendipity, and Last Days of Disco represent her fine talent. Plus, her beauty and English accent wins me over every time.

    1. I think Serendipity is a vastly undervalued film. The plot is silly at times but it is a solid date night type of film.

  12. I'm not a fan of either of these women, but I sure HATE Sharon Stone a lot more - so I'm going to have to go with Kate Beckinsale as being "better" here.

    1. Stone is definitely the type of actress that seems to polarize people into two camps.
