The 2012 edition of TIFF is a little over a week away. I should have my festival schedule finalized by early next week. In the meantime, here are a few films playing at TIFF that have caught my eye.

Very excited for Passion. Hadn't heard of Lore before - looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am excited for Passion as well. De Palma can be hit or miss at times but I am intrigued by this one. As for Lore, I think that might be one of the hidden gems of the festival.

ReplyDeleteI'm not that sold on Berberian, mainly because it strikes me as an odd remake to Blow Out (which I love) and I'm not sure it will be able to pull it off, but we'll see.
The fact that Berberian has shades of Blow Out is exactly why I am keen on seeing it. The film looks like it has taken the concept in a much darker direction.

Im really excited about Cloud Atlas and Passion. I have seen Love Crime of which Passion is based off of an while that is a good movie, it wasn't great. I think DePalma could pull of a good remake. Well I'm hoping he can
ReplyDeleteIt just looks like the type of film De Palma would excel at. It has shades of his 80s films, which I think is the period when he did his best work.
