Tough one! But I think I'm going to go with Jodie Foster. For no particular reason other than I loved her as a child actor when I was a kid: Freaky Friday, Candleshoes... :)

ReplyDeleteTough choice this one but I'm going with Foster. But then again, other than "Carnage" and "Maverick", I can't recall her doing any comedy. Weaver has done plenty, I mean real comedies like "Ghostbusters", which does show she has wider range.

ReplyDeleteI havent seen most of Weaver's films, including Alien, so Im gonna go with Jodie. Plus, I loved Jodie is Carnage and Silence of the Lambs, Maverick, and Inside Man are all great films.
ReplyDeleteSigourney Weaver. No contest. I like Jodie Foster though I always feel she tries too hard in some of the roles she would do where she always had to have a scared face or something.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the list of films, it looks like it would be Foster. However, I'm going with Weaver on this one. Foster is usually good, but I think her lack of recent performances plays a role in my choice.
ReplyDeleteWeaver for me. Not that I've anything against Jodie Foster, but Sigourney is on of the most compelling screen presences of the last 40 years.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, Sigourney Weaver never appealed to me outside Alien Series. But to be fair to her I haven't seen much as well. In case of Jodie Foster, I at least never disliked her in anything yet. So Foster for me.
