  1. I like Tomei more. I ususally prefer actors whose personalities stand out on screen.

  2. Naomi Watts is a great actress and I respect her, but I have to go with Marisa Tomei, as well! I remember her in Cousin Vinnie and she has grown into a fantastic actress! She has character and seems real, not your average movie super star!

  3. Gotta go with Marisa Tomei as well. She has been a favorite of mine for a long time.

  4. I've always been a bit ambivalent on both, but Marisa Tomei won me over in The Wrestler.

  5. I pick Tomei because not only has she had a wider variety of roles but because she is so much more lovely and attractive.

  6. Tomei. Seven days a week and twice on Sunday.

  7. I sort of feel bad for Watts, especially since her screen charisma seems to have an overly tense nature to it, I'm not sure if it's her characters or her, but I've found her to be especially winsome in King Kong and the underrated Le Divorce. Tomei wins easily though, from where I sit she's easily the more eclectic of the two and has a charm Watts often seems devoid of.

For me, Marissa Tomei. She was superb in My Cousin Vinny and The Wrestler.

Eastern Promises w/ Naomi Watts was good too but Tomei takes it for me.

  9. Dammit! You pick 2 actresses I love. Why in the hell are you making me choose?

I want to say Naomi Watts but Tomei is more accessible and funnier. Dammit!!!!

If the question on who would I want to have sex with? Watts easily though I wouldn't sell Tomei short. They're both hot.

  12. Against Naomi Watts, I will pick Marisa Tomei because even in her case Except for My Cousin Vinny, I don't think I like any movie because of her.

  13. Marisa Tomei. I've liked her ever seen seeing her in "My Cousin Vinny." She's made bad films like "Untamed Heart" watchable, and her work in films like "In the Bedroom" and "The Wrestler" have showcased her acting chops superbly. She's also a great comedic actress.

  14. Although I am a big fan of Tomei, I am shocked by the almost unanimous love for her this week. I thought the results would be much closer. It was only a few years ago that many seemed to be champing Watts as "the next big thing”.

  15. Admitedly I'm less familiar with Tomei's work (having seen only 3 of the films you've listed), but Watts in Mulholland Drive is one of my all time favourite female performances. So I'll be in the minority and go with her

  16. In Mulholland Dr., Watts gives one of, if not the finest performance of the last decade, but overall I must go with Tomei. And she is getting sexier as she ages - take that Hollywood!!

  17. I haven't seen much of Marisa Tomei (only The Wrestler, Anger Management, The Ides of March and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead) but she has never wowed me (even in The Wrestler). On the other hand, I love almost every performance I see from Naomi Watts. She was able to surpass Fay Wray in King Kong, she deserved an Oscar nomination for her role in Mother and Child, and was easily the best part about Fair Game.

    Naomi Watts for me.
