Sharing the Blogging Love

Wondering what bloggers have been chatting about this week?

Here is Your Reading and Listening Schedule for Today:

9 am: Episode 225 of the Mamo!podcast looks at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. The show inadvertently caused a major debate in the comments section regarding whether a film festival centric city like Toronto can tolerate both the After Dark festival and TIFF’s Midnight Madness programme?

10 am: In the latest episode of the The Midnight Movie Club podcast, Lee and Dan step away from their usual 80’s and 90’s discussions to talk about The Big Bang.

11 am: Sam gives a surprisingly positive review to Tower Heist.

12 pm: Pturner has a piece on why you should get on the Jospeh Gordon-Levitt bandwagon before it is too late.

1 pm: Rich decides to explore gay life in the 50’s as portrayed in the wonderful film Far From Heaven.

2 pm: 5plitreel comprises a list of 123 films that everyone should see. I am surprised that I have actually seen most of the films on the list. Only need to catch up on 15 titles.

3 pm: SDG provides a few words on Paris, a film which stars Melanie Laurent.

4 pm: As part of the latest instalment of his Movie Project series, Eric reviews The Bicycle Thief and 8 ½. Both are films that I also watched for the first time this year.

5 pm: Jessica wrote a fascinating article that asks the question what is a good film critic?

6 pm: Chip Lary still needs your help in filling his movies by the numbers list. Be sure to suggest a couple of films he should write about.

  4. @CS - Thanks for the note. I got a bunch of good suggestions from SJHoneywell after this.

I still have absolutely nothing to write about for the numbers 26, 31, 33, and 43. I have not seen potential candidates 26 Years Diary, Trois places pour le 26, 31 North 62 East, 33 Scenes from Life, and Nightmare at 43 Hillcrest, and none of them are available via Netflix or Amazon.

If someone has seen them, can you please contact me at golf04330@yahoo.com?

Also, here is a link to the ongoing list of movies from 1 to 50that CS referred to: http://tipsfromchip.blogspot.com/2011/09/movies-by-numbers.html
