The Greatest Movie Ever Sold

Documentary filmmaker, Morgan Spurlock, looks to be back in Super Size Me form with this fascinating approach to deconstructing marketing.

Mr. Popper’s Penguins

Jim Carrey takes on another beloved children’s story. I like what Carrey did with Lemony Snicket so hopefully he can bring that same energy to this film.


  1. I caught the trailer of 'The Greatest Movie Ever Sold' right before watching Jane Eyre and it does look funny and intriguing. Might have to give that one a rent.

    I LOVE Penguins so even though I'm generally meh on Carrey, I might give this one a shot.

  2. @Ruth - Out of the two films, I am quite excited about Spurlock's latest film. I might give Mr. Poppin’s a shot as well, though it is not high on the “must see” list at the moment.

  3. "Greatest Movie Ever Sold" looks so fascinating! It's interesting because I just saw a video on a jetBlue flight of Morgan Spurlock demonstrating safety procedures, so it's interesting to see the movie in action already. Plus, it has Ralph Nader so that makes the movie a must see for me. Haha

  4. @Robert – That is crazy! Hopefully that JetBlue video will be included in the picture. I am really eager to see how this film does. On one hand, Spurlock could provide great insight into how easily we are duped by marketing. On the other, he might become part of the machine himself, losing sight of what his film originally wanted to achieve.
